Why is the ale always gone?

Jin Rha-Yaleii's pet, given to her by a former lover and dear friend who confiscated the animal from smugglers (legend has it that Cat jumped ship voluntarily after depleting the smugglers' Romulan Ale).

Probably a Set'leth or mix thereof. Roughly 200 lbs of bad attitude, perpetually thirsty and always on the lookout for mischief.

In complete disregard of blatant evidence Jin refers to Cat as "a big softie".

His name stems from the fact that "the bastard never comes when you call anyways", and Jin felt that since he was used to the name and it suited him anyways, it would be daft to change it.
